| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 17th, 2010: Houston Loses Neal for Year Doctors in Houston said Curt Neal may not play anymore this year. The Hurricane starting pitcher received a torn tricep muscle during a game against the Providence Grays and will be out for at least 7 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
So far this season Neal has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 3.83 ERA. |  | Wednesday, May 12th, 2010: Hurricane Lose Guerrero Alejandro Guerrero at first refused to leave today's Carolina-Houston game after he suffered a torn thigh muscle while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Houston center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Guerrero out of action for 8 weeks.
In 2010, Guerrero is hitting .257 with 7 home runs and 28 RBIs in 36 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .376 with 25 walks and 26 runs scored. |  | Monday, May 10th, 2010: Rob in Phoenix League Winner is Richardson Over the past week, Andy Richardson has feasted on Rob in Phoenix League pitching. Today the Houston Hurricane left fielder gobbled up the league's latest Player of the Week Award.
Richardson swung the bat with purpose all week as he collected a .467 average, 14 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
Thus far this season in 32 games Richardson is batting .336 with 2 home runs, 21 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
