Juan Crespo of the Philadelphia Lions worked his mound magic on the Atlanta Dragons. He blanked them 6-0 on 4 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Making good pitches is the name of the game and I made some good ones in this one," said Crespo after the game.
This season Crespo has compiled a 3-3 record with a 1.59 ERA.

The Philadelphia Lions got some bad news when the team learned that Tim Wilson was likely to be out for 7-8 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Minneapolis Millers. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a strained elbow ligament. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Philadelphia manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Tim is back in action."
