Sunday, May 16th, 2010: Injury Takes Toll, Washington Out
Minneapolis fans held their breath as Sandy Washington left yesterday's Lions-Millers contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 33-year-old center fielder had suffered a strained rib cage muscle while making a defensive play. It's estimated that he will be out 2 weeks.

During the 2010 season Washington has hit .313 with 12 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 37 games and scored 38 times.
Saturday, May 15th, 2010: Millers Peterson out of Action
Minneapolis fans will be disappointed to learn that Robbie Peterson developed a tender elbow while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Minneapolis Millers manager that Peterson was expected to miss 2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the starting pitcher could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

So far this season Peterson has a 4-1 record with a 3.64 ERA.
Monday, May 10th, 2010: Minneapolis Loses Landrigan
Minneapolis fans will be disappointed to learn that Jesse Landrigan developed a fractured wrist while being hit by a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Minneapolis Millers manager that Landrigan was expected to miss 4 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the first baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

Landrigan is batting .345 this season in 31 games with 9 home runs, 32 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 113 at-bats.
