Travis MacLeverty's hitting string continues. The 25-year-old Providence left fielder upped it to 20 games today with 1 hit in the Grays 8-5 win over the Beaverton Rangers at Olneyville Memorial Park.
T. MacLeverty grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
MacLeverty is batting .327 with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs this season.

 | Tuesday, April 20th, 2010: Beaverton, Des Moines Confirm Deal
Beaverton and Des Moines have agreed to a trade today. 35-year old third baseman León Pérez will go to the Bison. In exchange the Rangers will receive 33-year old third baseman Donald Evans, 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Bryan McGilchrist and a 3rd round draft pick.
This year Pérez has collected a .260 batting average to date with 19 hits in 73 at-bats, 13 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 9 times. He has played in 18 games.
In 2010 Evans has produced 14 hits in 49 at-bats for a .286 average with no home runs and gotten on base at a .327 clip.

 | Sunday, April 18th, 2010: Service Injured in Freak Off-Field Accident
An unlucky off-the-field mishap will put Michael Service of the Beaverton Rangers on the shelf for the next 4 days. He sustained the injury when he fell asleep at the wheel and suffered a fractured finger.
This season Service is batting .344 with 3 home runs. His totals include 7 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
