| Breaking News |  | Saturday, May 15th, 2010: Providence Befuddled by Vázquez Santiago Vázquez of the Phoenix Monsoon gave the Grays a steady diet of fine pitches and he walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 6-0 on 6 hits with a total of 2 strikeouts and no walks.
The Phoenix manager said, "Vázquez was on quite a roll. He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
This season to date Vázquez has a record of 3 wins and 2 losses with a 4.39 ERA, has appeared in 8 games and struck out 32 in 55.1 innings. |  | Friday, April 30th, 2010: Márquez Fires Shutout in Monsoon Win The Atlanta Dragons were almost helpless today in their 5-0 loss to Phoenix hurler Rubén Márquez. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 3-hit shutout.
The Atlanta manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Márquez. He kept us off balance all night."
Márquez said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."
He had 3 walks and 8 strikeouts in a strong performance.
