| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, May 18th, 2010: Shimada Shuts out Colorado
The Anasazi tried, but could not solve San Francisco's Mokichi Shimada, falling to the Bullets 8-0. Colorado managed only 4 hits off Shimada, who kept opposing hitters guessing all day. In a strong route-going performance he had 7 strikeouts and walked 1.
So far in 2010 Shimada has compiled a 4-3 record with a 3.26 ERA. |
 | Wednesday, May 12th, 2010: Bullets Shut out Greyhounds, Maddox Winner
William Maddox dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Greyhounds and holding them to 3 hits. He fanned 5 and walked 1 in spinning his 6-0 win.
"I can't take all the credit for this one," Maddox said. "I had some great defense behind me."
Thus far this season Maddox has posted a 3-5 record, started 8 games, struck out 32 batters in 60.2 innings and compiled a 3.26 ERA. |
 | Wednesday, May 5th, 2010: Lewis and Reyna Suspended, Out 5 Games
The two main figures in yesterday's brawl at The Monde By The Pond have been suspended for 5 games each. That action was taken today by the league commissioner's office and will take effect immediately. The suspended players are Jesse Lewis of the San Francisco Bullets and Juan Reyna of the Texas Tornado.
Presently Lewis is batting .228 with 23 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 16 runs and scored 13 times.
Reyna in 2010 has fashioned a 2-2 mark, 7.50 ERA and thrown 24 innings in 6 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .340 against him.
