| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 3rd, 2010: Stinson Bewilders Atlantics in Shutout
Malcolm Stinson of the New Orleans Gators was on fire against Brooklyn. He shut them down 4-0 on 5 hits and no runs with 7 strikeouts and no walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Stinson said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
Thus far this season, Stinson has worked 45.2 innings with 39 strikeouts en route to a 2-2 record and a 2.17 ERA.

At the age of 32, Noriyori Mori might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The New Orleans center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Freshmaker League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 7 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games.
Looking at his stats this year, Mori has compiled a .237 batting average, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 23 runs. He has played in 27 games and scored 22 runs.

| Wednesday, April 28th, 2010: Stinson Tames Scholars
New Orleans's Malcolm Stinson breezed through the Scholars lineup today, collecting a 4-hit shutout and a 2-0 victory along the way. Stinson fanned 7 as well.
"I didn't really feel like I had my game today," Stinson confessed, "but some days are like that -- you just gotta go with what you have."
This season to date Stinson has a record of 1 win and 2 losses with a 2.70 ERA, has appeared in 5 games and struck out 32 in 36.2 innings.
